In the 22nd PRACE Call, for the first time, two Norwegian-led projects were awarded.
They receive a total of over 46 million computing hours on PRACE Tier-0 systems. Both projects are on the fundamental constituents of matter.
Projects from UiS and UiO
The two projects are from the University of Stavanger (UiS) and the University of Oslo (UiO). Dr Rasmus Larsen (UiS) is awarded 6,2 million computing hours for an international study on The Effective quark-antiquark potential in Quark-Gluon Plasma. Dr Anders Kvellestad (UiO) is awarded 40 million hours as the leader of the international GAMBIT project.
This marks the first time that two Norwegian projects were awarded in the same PRACE call, and the awards give these projects access to compute power beyond our national systems.

The 23rd PRACE call, with awards for 1 November 2021 - 30 September 2022, just closed. Results from this call will be known in September.
