Open OnDemand is now available on Supercomputer Fram

We have introduced a new service on supercomputer Fram: Open OnDemand.

This service seeks to replace previous methods (X2GO and VNC) of accessing GUI-applications and desktop environments on our supercomputers.

How does it work?

Point your browser to: https://apps.fram.sigma2.no/ and launch the "desktop" application to get started. The service is in its early phases so please report any trouble to contact@sigma2.no

One of NRIS experts has created a short video to show you how it works.

We aim to provide the same service on Betzy and Saga in October.
