Sigma2 is looking for Norwegian experts on HPC usage in the industry who can contribute to the future strategy of EuroHPC in the industrial context.
The industry is an important part of the European economy and EuroHPC pays great attention to involving Big Industries and SMEs in its dynamics.
Set-up of Compentence Centres
EuroHPC is now facilitating the set-up of the "Competence Centres" in every partner state to provide permanent support to Big Industry and SMEs' future users. Competence Centers will amongst other activities support industry users to use HPC to a much larger degree than today.
In Norway, Sigma2 will lead the national Competence Centre, with SINTEF and NORCE as partners.
Mastering HPC/HPDA in all its dimensions is decisive for European Industry in order to stay competitive in the global market so EuroHPC is preparing to contribute in several areas:
- Transfer knowledge between research and European Industry
- Develop a co-design approach between technology providers and advanced users
- Take into account inputs from the Industry Community, listing the specific needs and requirements
